Neil Gaiman celebrated his blog’s 7th birthday on February 9th. After 1,071,213 words, it is still going. In celebration, he’s going to make one of his books available online for free. Current plans are to have the book online for about a month. That’s the easy part. The tough part is deciding on the book, and Gaiman’s decided to leave that decision to his blog readers. “What I want you to do is think — not about which of the books below is your favourite,” he says, “but if you were giving one away to a friend who had never read anything of mine, what would it be? Where would you want them to start?”
