For adrenaline-junkies that can’t get enough Halloween, thirty-one brilliantly insane authors of horror are ganging up to give fanatics the best scarefest of their lives!
Starting October 1st, HALLOWEENPALOOZA III kicks into gear! The month-long event will feature giveaways, interviews, and original fiction. The cast of participating horrormeisters includes: New York Times Bestseller Douglas Clegg, David Beers, J.D. Horn, Mark Lukens, Brian Moreland, Michelle Muto, Jason Parent, Eric Wilder, and Todd “Creatures of Appetite” Travis. The formidable assemblage will ensure that this October cyberparty delivers thrills, chills, and more than a few surprises.
HALLOWEENPALOOZA is the brainchild of W. Potocki. The author of eight published works and winner of Horror Novel Review’s’ “The Top Ten New Horror Writer” award, she created the first event on Facebook in 2013 and linked it to its sister blog, HALLOWEENPALOOZA: The 31 Days of Halloween. The first year’s participating authors were asked to write blogs that detailed their scariest encounters with the supernatural. In 2014, the theme transmogrified to black cats. Original horror shorts featuring the character of a black cat were posted and read by thousands. What can readers expect in 2015?
“This year’s theme will be monsters! Iconic, spurned, demonic, and ones you love to hate, expect some serious brainfreeze,” predicts W. Potocki. And the exclusive fiction centering on these fiendish creatures, will be accompanied by daily book contests, interviews with celebrated authors, blog posts, and a few surprises.
Fans of horror are encouraged to: (1) join through FB; and (2) follow the blog. The one two punch will guarantee that none of the grisly fun is missed. Fellow horror enthusiasts and casual indulgers are welcome to celebrate Halloween in all its spookiness. And while bobbing for apples is optional, participants are urged to make sure there’s not a scythe somewhere near their heads.
