The 13th – Book Review
In The 13th, the author again pushes the envelope. His potent extreme horror requires a high level of tolerance; emotional as well as intellectual.

Only Kim Paffenroth could have written Valley Of The Dead. And that’s as it should be, since he’s a man who knows his religious literature.
Dead America is yet another zombie novel in an overcrowded market. It is wise in its societal perceptions, and knowledgeable about the conventions of hardboiled fiction.
History Is Dead has stories of good vs. evil, love and hate, the blessed and the meek, and stories of gore and beauty, sometimes in the same tale.
Nights of Blood 2 cannot clearly be slotted into either of the above categories; rather it presents the reader with a wide variety of stories from up and coming horror authors at what may be deemed a somewhat steep price of admission.
With Dying To Live, we see Kim Paffenroth not only knows zombies, but that he also knows the human condition as well.
