The New Dorian Gray

The Hollywood Reporter says The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian actor Ben Barnes has been cast in the lead role for yet another upcoming remake of The Picture of Dorian Gray. The classic Oscar Wilde story follows a young man who wishes that his youth and good looks will never fade. His wish comes true when a portrait of him begins to deteriorate while he stays young and good looking. Director Oliver Parker (An Ideal Husband, The Importance of Being Earnest) plans to make this a visceral, dark horror story version of the story. Shooting begins July 28th.
