Ryan Guzman (The Boy Next Door), Kyle Gallner (American Sniper), and Alix Angelis (The Magnificent Seven) have signed on to star in the contained horror thriller The Cleansing Hour, which lenses in Bucharest, Romania next month.

The Cleansing Hour follows best friends Max and Drew (Guzman and Gallner) who run a popular webcast that stages exorcisms to look real. When the actress of the day (Angelis) becomes mysteriously possessed by a real demon, the friends must work against the show clock to figure out the demon’s sinister motive, while the demon exposes the trio’s dark secrets before a rapidly-growing global audience.

The film marks the feature debut for editor turned director LeVeck, who gained recognition for the proof-of-concept version of The Cleansing Hour, which was featured at Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival, Austin Film Festival, and Napa Film Festival, among many others and won best horror short film at Shriekfest Film Festival and Atlanta Horror Film Festival.

Shirit Bradley (Godzilla: King of Monsters), Dan Clifton (The Den, The Belko Experiment), Natalie LeVeck, and Damien LeVeck are producing under the Skubalon Entertainment banner.
