February 14th, 2008 isn’t just for lovers this year with the DVD release date set for The Caretaker, a campy teen horror starring Jennifer Tilly and Judd Nelson, Jonathan Breck and a fantastic group of teenage up-and-comers.
“There’s a continuing love theme throughout the film and we thought we’d play off that,” says producer Jackie Olson.
The picture follows a group of teenage boys and girls as they head to an abandoned house in a grapefruit orchard where they are stalked by a real life urban legend, known as “The Caretaker.” Judd Nelson delivers a disarmingly creepy performance as an overprotective father and the teenagers’ outlandish teacher, played by Ms. Tilly, is obsessed with getting famous by sleeping with a student.
The Caretaker stars Jennifer Tilly, Judd Nelson, Jonathan Breck (Jeepers Creepers), Andrew St. John (Life is Wild), Jennifer Freeman (You Got Served), James Immekus, Diego Torres and Kira Verrastro. Original music was composed by Jim Lang (John Carpenter’s Body Bags, In The Mouth Of Madness). Produced by Jackie Olson, Brynn McQuade and Allison Wilke, written by Jackie Linder Olson, and directed by Bryce Fridrik Olson, with Executive Producer and President of TRP Steve Vande Vegte.
