In other news, King is set to do a cameo for Sons of Anarchy. His part is currently scheduled to be in the third episode of the new season set to air in September.

King will also be receiving an award in recognition of his contribution to literature and the art of storytelling at an event sponsored by the Los Angeles Public and Library Foundation of Los Angeles on May 19th. The event is a fundraiser for the L.A. Public Library and tickets are still available through the web site: Library Foundation

Finally, as we recently mentioned, Ron Howard, Akiva Goldsman, Brian Grazer and Imagine Films are in discussions with Steve regarding the adaptation of the Dark Tower series for television. Here’s the word from King: “It looks good. Things are happening and they are happening fast but any reports you see might be taken with a grain of salt for the next couple of weeks. You will know the news from the official source as soon as we are able to post it.”
