Untreed Reads has launched a short story line called Spectres which will focus on horror. The publisher is now accepting submissions for its 2010 publication year.
All short stories (5,000 words or less) will start with a price of $1.00. The share split is 50/50. Once 30 copies have been sold, the price will go up to $1.25 and the share split will change to 60% author, 40% publisher. Once another 30 copies have been sold, the price will go up to $1.50 and the share split will change to 70% author, 30% publisher. All percentages are based on net receipts, meaning money after payments of fees to vendors.
Untreed Reads is interested in bringing together quality authors with eager readers.
All royalties are paid on a quarterly basis. Due to the nature of the ebook business, they do not provide advances.
