By the time you get this, it will be less than a week until Halloween. Where is the time going? Of course, this is our favorite time of the year with all of the little ghosts and gouls running around, and there are even kids in costumes. Even better, there are so many of you who decide to indulge in some spooky reading of your own. If that is indeed the case, then you know that JournalStone is where you need to look.
Now here is some news that I’m really happy to put out there. Just as we’ve done before, we held an open submission call this summer. To say the least, the response was overwhelming. Over 120 submissions were made, and two were selected. Congratulations to Mark Dunn and Jeff Pryor, the newest members of the JournalStone family. Mark’s book, The Last Night, is a page turner about twins separated as children who feel an irresistible urge to find each other, with deadly consequences. Jeff’s book, Chosen of Trees and Talons, will appeal to the fantasy readers among you who are looking for a classic tale of good vs evil in a world that is richly painted for the reader. These books are both outstanding! I know. I’ve read them both.
Finally, if you have liked our Facebook page, you will have seen that we made a few changes to Dark Discoveries Magazine. We won’t be featuring scantily clad women on our covers anymore. Instead, we want the cover to reflect the superb interviews and outstanding feature articles that define our magazine. We are confident that you will like the change.
Until next month…
