I’ve got to say that this really is one of the coolest ideas I’ve seen in a while. If you’ve always wanted to direct a horror movie, but can’t get one of the major studios to take a chance on you, you’re in luck. A new app allows you to direct your own horror scenes.
In the Movie Maker mode, Horror Movie Maker allows you to put actors in scenes from You’re Next, Leatherface, or The Possession. You can also use a Photo Mode that allows you to take a picture of your friends, add characters and art inspired by You’re Next, edit the picture, and then share it using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or email.
The app is presented by the Lions Gate film You’re Next, which will be in theaters on August 23rd.
