Unexpected Bargains
by Jennifer Mitchell
Marta spent days bent over the puzzle, one of her latest frugal finds. At only fifty cents, it was the best bargain of the summer. Though there were too many sky pieces for the puzzle to be truly enjoyable, she was looking forward to bragging about completing it.

She stood up to survey her handiwork, and crashed onto the floor with a thud. Sudden cardiac arrest. No wonder the old woman at the garage sale had been so eager to get rid of it.
