Fangoria interviews Mike McCarty about his newest short story collection, A Little Help From My Friends (coming from Sam’s Dot Publishing this fall), in its current online pages.
Addressing the title of the collection, as well as the thrust of two short stories contained within, McCarty says, “The inspiration came from a nightmare I once had about the Beatles doing their final concert on the rooftop of Apple Studios for an audience of zombies. So I had my good friend and fellow partner-in-slime Mark McLaughlin create a cover that spoofs famous Universal monsters and the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album art.”
