You’d better watch out – Zombie Santa is coming to town! He’ll fill his bag with brains for the naughty and nice zombies for an appearance at the Toy Galaxy store in the Monroeville Mall.
Toy Galaxy, located on the Mall’s lower level, is holding a Zombie Holiday Party on Sunday, December 14, 2008 from 6 PM to 10 PM. Admission is free and the party will feature:
- Photos with Zombie Santa ¡V photo package available at the store for $10
- An appearance by cast members of the It’s Alive Show, seen Saturdays at 10 PM on WBGN-TV
- Monroeville Zombies themed attraction
- Zombie Christmas caroling contest
- Zombie Shooting Gallery
- Games
- Prizes
- Refreshments
Zombie party goers will have an opportunity to check out the store’s Monroeville Zombies exhibit, which is a celebration of Zombies in Pop-Culture. Located in the historic Monroeville Mall, site of the original film, George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead, the themed attraction takes fans through a visual history of zombies in cinema. Displays of movie props and memorabilia are woven into a presentation featuring interactive experiences, mall tours, and zombie gift shopping.
In addition to offering zombie and horror related items, Toy Galaxy is also home to the original Santa and Rudolph puppets from the 1964 stop-motion animation film Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. The store also carries a wide variety of unique toys and collectibles rooted in pop culture, from classic television shows to modern hits. Owner Kevin Kriess welcomes both zombies and humans to visit the store for this unique holiday experience, which he hopes will become an annual event. What’s more natural than a Zombie Santa at the home of Dawn of the Dead?
