Changes At Weird Tales

posted by

Wildside Press has announced a few changes in Weird Tales magazine. Beginning with Issue 377 (expected in mid 2007), Weird Tales will sport a new logo. Staffing changes have also been made with longtime editor George Scithers being promoted to Editor Emeritus status. Besides being on hand in an advisory capacity, Scithers will also be responsible for selecting original fiction for the weirdtalesmagazine.com website and edit Wildside Press’s forthcoming Cat Tales. Former editor Darrell Schweitzer moves into the position of writing nonfiction (movie reviews and in-depth interviews) for the 83-year-old magazine while John Betancourt continues as publisher and Stephen H. Segal as general manager and creative director. A new fiction editor is being considered at this time. Wildside Press purchased Weird Tales in late 2005 from DNA Publications.
