Orbit has released Brian Ruckley’s gothic horror novel, The Edinburgh Dead, in a paperback edition.
Referring to Edinburgh, Ruckley says in a guest post on SFX, “I love the place, but not just for its beauty and summer, arty energy; I like its age, too, and the dark, complicated texture of its history. That was the aspect of the city that inspired my latest novel, The Edinburgh Dead, a dark and horrific fantasy. In the starkly-lit operating theaters of the city, grisly experiments are being carried out on corpses in the name of medical science. But elsewhere, there are those experimenting with more sinister forces.
