Cemetery Dance Publications has announced they’ll be publishing a special limited hardcover printing of The Doll: The Lost Short Stories by Daphne du Maurier.

Daphne du Maurier’s most famous works include the novel Rebecca and the short story “The Birds,” and The Doll features 13 impressive stories written before she was 23 years old.

These long lost stories explore the evolution of the images, themes, and concerns that informed her later work. Each story in the collection highlights her deep understanding of human nature.

This Cemetery Dance Publications special “trade” edition will be limited to a one-time printing this December and there will be no second printings.

The Trade Hardcover Edition will sell for $25, and is due to be released on December 13, 2011
