Spooky Empire is thrilled to announce another anniversary at this year’s October convention as the Queen of Halloween, Cassandra Peterson celebrates the 30th anniversary of her iconic performance as Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. Peterson will be in attendance for two days. On Friday, October 26th, for a special one-day-only appearance, Peterson will be at the convention as Elvira, after having retired the ensemble over a year ago.
Joining the recently announced The X-Files reunion guests David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, are Mitch Pileggi and William B. Davis, best known for their roles as “Walter Skinner and “The Smoking Man” in The X-Files. Marking his first appearance at Spooky Empire, Pileggi has starred as Horace Pinker in Shocker, and appeared in Return of the Living Dead, Three O’ Clock High, Basic Instinct, Stargate: Atlantis, Supernatural, Sons of Anarchy, and many more! Davis has numerous credits dating back to the 80’s including The Dead Zone, IT (series), 21 Jump Street, Poltergeist (series), The Proposal, Smallville, and more. Currently, he’s working on the film Frankenstein Gothic along with Bill Moseley and Danielle Harris.
Additionally, Carl Weathers will be on the guest line-up. Weathers is known for his role as Apollo Creed in the Rocky series; George Dillon in Predator; Chubbs Peterson in films Happy Gilmore and Little Nicky; and a fictionalized version of himself on the comedy series Arrested Development. Alongside Weathers will be the famed indie horror Soska Twins participating in the con’s Film Festival and legendary drummer Peter Criss, one of the founding members of KISS, as well as the 25th anniversary of Hocus Pocus with Kathy Najimy.
Spooky Empire will take place on October 26 – 28, 2018 at its new host hotel, Caribe Royale Orlando Resort.
The convention will once again be opening earlier this year on Friday, October 26 at 1 p.m. to begin the festivities. The weekend will feature an array of activities including a tattoo festival, film festival, celebrity autographs, Kid’s Zone, costume and cosplay contest, huge exhibitor room, live music, performances, Q & A’s with artists, authors, and filmmakers, seminars, among many other activities.
All advance tickets, now on sale, are discounted. Prices increase after October 7th and at the door. In advance, three-day passes are $60, one day passes on Friday and Sunday are $30, and one day passes on Saturday $35. Limited VIP Packages are available for $225 and include early entry to all three days, raffles, T-shirts, autograph line fast-pass, exclusive VIP party access on Saturday night with guest celebrities in attendance. Tickets for children under ten years old are free.
