CthulhuWarpo, creators of the Legends of Cthulhu action figures, today released part two of three of Cthulhu: The Great Old One, their retro commercial series for the forthcoming 12” Cthulhu figure.

In keeping with the company’s method manufacturing, the process of development by which Team Warpo creates everything with the mindset and methods of the late 1970s to mid-1980s, the commercial series was created with the look and feel of being an “uploaded artifact” from the era – a rip from an old VHS tape that was used over and over again to capture storylines for the sandbox adventures of childhood.

“A huge part of the nostalgia with toys from the 80s is the TV commercials associated with them,” says Bryan Katzel, president and co-owner of Warpo. “Content and story were so hard to come by in that era, we would devour any information we could find. If you were lucky to have a VCR, this included recording TV commercials to glean all the fantastic details from it that you could.”

The 12” Cthulhu figure releases autumn 2015, and is available for pre-order now on Big Bad Toy Store, along with the very limited edition Glow in the Dark 12” Cthulhu.

Legends of Cthulhu 3.75” retro action figures are also available at BigBadToyStore, Think Geekcomic book stores, and in toy and hobby shops nationwide.
