castle-darkWith the Halloween season fast approaching Castle Park transforms into its heart-racing, exhilarating Castle Dark! When darkness falls, the nightmare calls and guests can experience the sheer terror of Castle Dark’s haunted mazes.

October 2nd – November 1st every Friday, Saturday and Sunday the gate will creek open at 7:00pm for Castle Dark. Venture inside four haunted mazes: Shiverton- a town in itself full of demented people, distorted realities and horrible nightmares; Carnevil- an abandoned broken down big top taken over by uncontrollable clowns; Dominion of the Damned- a home wayward for vampires and zombies waiting to feast on your flesh; and Ghost Blasters- a creature, zombie and ghost inhabited ride in 3-D!

For guests looking for more cheer than fear, Castle Park’s Happy Hauntings is the perfect place for little ghouls 12 and under. From 3:00pm to 5:00pm every Saturday and Sunday, October 10th – November 1st, kids can enjoy a pumpkin carving contest, a costume contest, and a Trick-or-Treat Street. Also, be sure to check out the Spooky Town Car Ride and the Spooky Town Train Ride for extra Halloween fun.

Tickets can be purchased for as low as $9.99 at http://www.castlepark.com. Castle Dark is included in Duke’s Royal Knight Ticket – $29.99 and Duke’s Deluxe Ticket – $19.99 at the gate. Guests have the option to build their own experience and choose from several attractions, including Castle Dark mazes, rides, or golf with the Duke’s Duo ticket – $16.99, and Duke’s Deal ticket – $13.99 at the gate. Castle Park’s Happy Hauntings activities are included in all park tickets every Saturday and Sunday, October 10th – November 1st.

Castle Park, including Castle Dark and Happy Hauntings will be closed to the public on Sunday, October 4th. Tickets are valid all day from 11:00am – 11:00pm (10:00pm on Sundays). Ride operation hours are Fridays 5:00pm – 10:00pm, Saturdays 12:00pm – 10:00pm, and Sundays 12:00pm – 9:00pm. Ride hours and availability may change without notice.
