With just a little more than three months to go until its annual fall convention, Horror Realm has added some crowd pleasing guests and gained support of several local businesses as well as returning sponsors.

Pittsburgh’s modern horror convention, which takes place September 16 to 18, 2011, has expanded its guest list to include:

  • Joe Bob Briggs – TV host (Joe Bob’s Drive-In Theater, TNT’s Monstervision), author and the king of b-movie and cult film reviews
  • Bill Moseley – actor and musician who has appeared in such cult horror films as House of 1,000 Corpses, The Devils Rejects and Repo! The Genetic Opera
  • CJ Graham – actor/stuntman best known for portraying killer Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th Park VI: Jason Lives
  • Night of the Living Dead cast members John Russo, Russell Streiner, George Kosana and Kyra Schon
  • Dawn of the Dead alum Leonard Lies (“Machete Zombie”)
  • Mark Tierno and Debra Gordon join other cast members from Day of the Dead
  • Girl Scout Cookies cast members Mark Cray, Erica Soto, Jessica Cameron, Allison Kyler and Sierra Holmes
  • Greg Lamberson – award winning author of Johnny Gruesome and director of Slime City Massacre will offer a running commentary during a screening of the film along with special effects makeup artist Rod Durick

The convention welcomes back Rue Morgue Magazine, dedicated to covering horror in culture and entertainment, as a sponsor for the third consecutive year. Also returning as a sponsor is independent publisher Library of the Living Dead.

Horror Realm will take place at the Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh South, located at 164 Fort Couch Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15241. The hotel is located across from the South Hills Village shopping mall. Discounted room rates are available for convention goers.
