James Aquilone’s first novel, DEAD JACK AND THE PANDEMONIUM DEVICE, has been optioned by Lonetree Entertainment (The Equalizer, starring Denzel Washington, and The War Magician, starring Benedict Cumberbatch), Dreamstreet Entertainment (Last Ride, The Futboleros), and Nth Dimension Media (Weird Tales) for development as a film and TV series.

DEAD JACK debuted in the pages of Weird Tales Magazine in 2014. DEAD JACK AND THE PANDEMONIUM DEVICE, the first book in the urban fantasy series (published in November 2016), follows the drug-addicted zombie detective as he battles rogue leprechauns, ghost pirates, demons, and a goateed maniac bent on destroying the hellish world they all call home. The irreverent series has been described as “Deadpool meets Harry Potter.”

The book raised more than $5,300 during a Kickstarter campaign in the summer of 2016.
