Quiet Houses is a deeply disturbing collection of stories, with one common link: a paranormal investigator who understands the difference between what is seen and unseen. And why are all haunted houses so vacant, so devoid of human understanding? Simon Kurt Unsworth lives in England and writes both horror and speculative fiction, for which pursuit he was nominated for a 2008 World Fantasy Award for Best Short Story. His work has been published in a large number of critically acclaimed anthologies, including At Ease with the Dead, Shades of Darkness, Exotic Gothic 3, Gaslight Grotesque and Lovecraft Unbound. He has also appeared in three of Stephen Jones’ Mammoth Book of Best New Horror anthologies (19, 21 and 22), and also The Very Best of Best New Horror.

Campfire Chillers introduces the next generation of scary campfire stories. Jeffery has created a whole new nighttime world of frightening creatures that haunt the woods. Dave Jeffery hails from Worcestershire, England. He is the best-selling author of the zombie novel Necropolis Rising, as well as the young adult series of books about super-sleuth teenager Beatrice Beecham.

In addition, author Adrian Chamberlin has confirmed his reading slot at FantasyCon will take place on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 8:00pm. He will read his latest short story “Demon’s Seed,” as well as an excerpt from his debut novel The Caretakers.

The event will be co-hosted by Hersham Horror Books.
