MTI Home Video, the premier studio for independent filmmakers, has set Jay Woelfel’s supernatural horror film, Closed For The Season, for an August 23rd DVD/VOD/Digital Download release.

Description: Trapped in a forgotten amusement park, a young girl finds herself terrorized by the living memories of the park. She must break free from the park’s grasp before she becomes its next victim.

Closed For The Season was written and directed by Jay Woelfel (Ghost Lake, Battlestar Galatica: The Seoond Coming), and produced by Jay Ellison (Lizzie) and Jon D. Wagner (Your Name Here). The film stars Aimee Brooks (Monster Man, Critters 3), Damian Maffei (Ghost Lake, Christmas With the Dead) and Joe Unger (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3).

The film was shot on location in Ohio at the long-abandoned Chippewa Lake Park, a notoriously haunted amusement site dating back to the 1870’s. Original and untouched for over 30 years, the eerie silence of a once bustling fairground has now given way to the perfect backdrop for this wickedly unique horror film.

“This is a once in a lifetime location to make a film in,” remarked Woelfel. “The nightmarish story evolved out of the urban legends that surround the park’s 130-year history. The real and the unreal trap the characters in the overgrown ruins.”

DVD features include: Closed Captioned, Widescreen 2.35:1, 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound, Behind the Scenes, Deleted Scenes, Trailers and Optional Spanish Subtitles. Suggested retail price is $24.95.
