Beverly Bonner will present the New York opening of her original stage show, Casey – 30 Years Later, at the Broadway Comedy Club in New York City on November 10, 2011 at 7:30 PM. This hilarious play is based upon her Casey character from the Basket Case films.

The night opens with dynamic opening acts, a screening of Frank Henenlotter’s Horror Cult Film Classic, Basket Case, followed by live presentation of Casey- 30 Years Later and ends with a Q&A between, Ms. Bonner, the other cast members and the audience.

Basket Case, released in 1982, tells the story of a young man who carries his deformed conjoined twin brother in a large basket while seeking vengeance on the doctors who separated them against their will. Written and directed by Frank Henenlotter, Basket Case became a cult hit and spawned two sequels.

The show catches up with Bonner’s character from the film series. She is running an old age home for retired hookers who, we find, are anything but retired, Casey has them “still working.” Casey is interviewed by a fan, a college reporter (played by Michael Varrati) who seeks to find out what she’s been up to all these years.

The evening will be hosted by zombie ringmaster Barnabus Bailey (Fred Terling) of The Greatest Show Unearthed. Aside from Ms. Bonner and Mr. Varrati, other actors appearing in this play are Joan Phillips, Joshua Emerick and a surprise mystery guest.

“The premise is that Casey, even brassier and sassier than in her youth, now runs a call girl service for elderly hookers, and is visited by a young journalist who wants to interview her about the people – including the monstrous Belial – seen in the cult movie.

Tickets for the show are $20 in advance at SmartTix.com or $30 at the door. There is a two drink minimum. The Broadway Comedy Club is located at 318 West 53rd Street (8th and 9th), NYC.
