Subterranean Press has announced Two Worlds and In Between: The Best of Caitlín R. Kiernan will be over 200,000 words long, including tales from Kiernan’s rarest gathering of short stories, From Weird and Distant Shores, as well as major works from To Charles Fort with Love, Tales of Pain and Wonder, plus over 60,000 words of fiction gathered for the first time.
In addition to the tales in the Trade Hardcover, the Signed Limited Edition will be leather bound, with a different dust jacket design, a 16 page insert of illustrations for Kiernan’s stories, and an exclusive chapbook, The Crimson Alphabet.
Caitlín R. Kiernan’s short fiction was first published in 1995. Over the intervening decade and a half, she has proven not only one of dark fantasy and science fiction’s most prolific and versatile authors, but, to quote Ramsey Campbell, “One of the most accomplishd writers in the field, and very possibly the most lyrical.” S.
