Carrying the title, Editor Extracts Best Morsels From Others, the Columbus Dispatch today posted an interview with Ellen Datlow, co-editor of recent annual editions of The Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror and editor of a number of collections as well as fiction for Omni magazine and Omni Online from 1981 to ’98. Datlow will join Maureen McHugh and other writers as a speaker this weekend at Context 19, the annual literary-oriented Columbus convention devoted to science fiction and fantasy.

“People think I’m joking when I say I don’t have an imagination,” Datlow said from her New York home, which serves as her office. “There are a lot of editors who are writers, were writers or want to be writers, but it’s a whole different state of mind.”
