On September 15, 2007, horror film fans are expected to flock to the State Theatre in Uniontown, PA to celebrate the beginning of the Halloween season. The Monster Hop Film Fest, sponsored by Castle Blood and HSTV, will offer over 13 hours packed with legendary horror films featuring monsters, zombies, vampires, and witches.

Ricky Dick of Castle Blood, and Marty Schiff, executive director of the State Theatre, have confirmed the following schedule for the event:

11 a.m. – Opening remarks – Gravely and Castle Blood cast
11:15 a.m. – Movie: Horror Hotel
Break – Castle skits and Dr. Lady
1:00 p.m. – Movie: Black Sabbath
Break – Castle skits plus Penny Dreadful
3:00 p.m. – Move: Count Dracula and His Vampire Bride
Break – Castle skits plus Dr. Lady
5:00 p.m. – Trailer Trash Time – old trailers and promotional materials from classic horror films
Break – Castle skits plus Penny Dreadful
7:00 p.m. – Movie: Black Sunday
Break – Castle skits
8:45 p.m. – Movie: White Zombie
Break – Tom Savini, Jeff Monahan, and Marty Schiff with Gravely
9:30 p.m. – Movie: Chill Factor
Celebrity Break
10:00 p.m. Movie: Night of the Living Dead
Break – Closing remarks from Gravely and cast of Castle Blood
12 Midnight – Bonus: “Monster Hop” episode

“The Monster Hop Fest will begin at 11 a.m. and continue beyond midnight. Horror fans can expect to see skits between movies (think Chiller Theater), all of the characters from Castle Blood and other surprises,” said Dick.

Guest celebrities will be featured throughout the day including Bill Hinzman from Night of the Living Dead, horror film genius Tom Savini, and others to be announced at a later date.

Commemorative wristbands will serve as tickets to the Monster Hop Film Fest. They are $13 and are on sale at Castleblood and State Theater (please also visit these websites for the most up-to-date information on the Monster Hop Film Fest). They will also be on sale at the State Theatre box office and other local businesses.
