In response to rave reviews from its first Independent Grindhouse program in the spring of 2010, Horror Realm and Bastards of Horror are once again teaming up to present an evening of independent horror. Independent Grindhouse 2 is slated for December 11, 2010 at 10 PM at the Oaks Theater in Oakmont, PA.

The program will feature two independent horror films:

Intrusion (2008) is a groundbreaking, critically acclaimed psychological horror/thriller by writer Craig Everett Earl. The upcoming sequel, Intrusion 2: Disconnected, has already won an award from Fright Night Film Fest for best screenplay and received great script reviews from critics. Information on both films may be found at Rose Bud Killer.

Psychopath (2009) is a slasher film written and directed by Robert Elkins. The film follows the story of Sarah, who misses a desperate call from her stranded twin sister Tara, then sets off with friends to find her in the backwoods town of Raven’s Neck, home to a brutal escaped mental patient.

Independent Grindhouse 2 also includes a short film and horror trailers. All paid admissions will be entered into drawings for independent horror film DVD giveaways.

While the films are unrated, due to the content, violence, blood and gore, it is recommended for adult audiences only (age 18 and up).

The Oaks Theater is a gloriously refurbished, 430-seat single screen movie house located at 310 Allegheny River Boulevard in Oakmont, PA (15139). For questions about the venue, please call (412) 828-6311 or visit the theater’s web site.

Bastards of Horror is a web site/blog that provides reviews of horror films, literature, conventions and other events and is home to Gross Movie Reviews.

Horror Realm™ is Pittsburgh’s modern horror convention. There will be two conventions in 2011 – Spring Break Massacre & Zombie Gras on March 5 and the fall convention on September 16-18.
