Prince of Pieces, based on a script of the same title written by Sam Miserendino, is currently in development as a graphic novel. In the story, Jesus returns mad as hell and disposes of sinners great and small with biblical flair (reverse leprosy, turning someone into a pillar of salt, a swarm of gnats). And like all who have returned from the dead, He has acquired a taste for human flesh. As one character wryly observes “For two-thousand years you’ve been eating His flesh and drinking His blood … now it’s His turn.”
A film version is pre-production, as well, with Jello Biafra is slated to play a major role.
