The Rap Sheet is doing a look at 56-year-old Robert R. McCammon’s lengthy career with the goal of understanding why his work continues to strike a resonant chord in so many readers. Three additional posts are planned, including a conversation with McCammon’s old friend and Web master, Hunter Goatley, a review of McCammon’s historical thriller The Queen of Bedlam (released late last year), and a rare interview with McCammon himself about his latest novel, his nighttime writing routine, his debts to Sherlock Holmes, and his long-ago departure from the horror genre.
