John Ajvide Lindqvist penned the Swedish novel, Let The Right One In, which was later made into a movie, and most recently an American remake titled, Let Me In. It was his first novel. This week in the UK, his fourth novel, Harbour, was released, and The Independent is currently running an interview with Lindqvist in conjunction with the release.

“I still can’t really understand how this happened,” the Swedish novelist says, “I just intended to write a horror story as well as I could – and my problem with a lot of horror stories is that the characters are one-dimensional or, if it’s a good one, two-dimensional. And the people you are supposed to care for are the ones you want the monster to eat first – because you find them disgusting!”
