Just in time for Halloween, RMS Press has released In Solemn Shades of Endless Night by Robert Swartwood.

Swartwood tells us the story’s title is taken from William Shakespeare’s Richard II. “I remember reading the play in college and being struck by that particular line. One of the characters, Thomas Mowbray, is being banished from the kingdom and says something to the effect that now he will dwell in solemn shades of endless night. I knew immediately it would make a great story title. But a story of what? Obviously something about endless night, and once I thought of Halloween, the story wrote itself.”

The 14,000-word novelette tells the story of Raleigh, who has become trapped in perpetual night and must make the ultimate choice: the save himself or the world.

The regular price of the e-book is $1.99 at Amazon and Smashwords, but for a limited time, if you use the coupon code JJ29Z at Smashwords, you can purchase the e-book for only $0.99.
