After the World Horror Society stretches its arms worldwide with convention stops outside US soil (this past spring in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and next year’s festivities in Brighton, England), the 2011 World Horror Convention smacks down in Austin, TX.
While not all the Guests of Honor have been secured, organizers wisely recognized that no Texas con would be complete without hisownself, native Texan Joe R. Lansdale. Joining Lansdale so far will be writers Sarah Langan and Brian Keene. Early registration is $90 until January 1, 2010, for the April 28-May 1, 2011 gathering of the horror faithful. Accommodations will be at the Doubletree Hotel Austin. Lee Thomas, a Bram Stoker-winner in his own right, and Nate Southard are co-chairmen for the convention.
