Oh, I like this review!

Incidentally, the railway bridge in 'The Bridge Chamber' is also based on a real bridge. As a child, I used to play there, but I never dared crawl all the way to the 'bridge chamber'. Although I made several attempts, my courage deserted me every time. Probably just as well, because who knows what might have happened?

As a horror writer, I like to use my real fears - current ones and memories - and exorcise them by putting them on paper. It's therapeutic, empowering, and fun. Perhaps frightened people make the best horror writers, because we have so much material to use, and because we know how fear feels.

Writing this story was a scary experience. At times I was so frightened I wanted to run away from it. I'm glad I didn't: I banished that fear. And I'm delighted you've got a good scare out of it as well.

Hi Nickolas. Stefan Pearson here. Ta for the review. Well chuffed. Incidentally, Kylesku bridge is a real bridge in the highlands where I'm from. Type it into google and do an image search. There are some nifty pictures of it. I'm sure you'll see why I thought it worked. I have a story in the anthology Nova Scotia as well. There's some great stuff in that one and some big names.

Cheers
