Ohio writer Christina Kiplinger-Johns has announced that her story, “Mr. Golden’s Haunt,” has been published in the UK, in the tribute to Pan Books horror stories collection, Back From the Dead. The book also contains a short interview with Kiplinger-Johns.
“Back From The Dead is an extensive and important book, part analysis, part history but mainly, through a selection of new tales in the style of the Pan books along with a garnish of several of the most memorable original highlights, a return to the principles that made the Pan books great, fine writing, entertainment and shocks,” said Johnny Mains, compiler of Back From The Dead in a recent press release.
Along with Kiplinger-Johns, Shaun Hutson, Basil Copper, Christopher Fowler, Craig Herbertson, Tony Richards, David A. Riley, Nicholas Royle, and David A. Sutton are some of the authors in the collection. The cover artist is Les Edwards.

I highly recommend Back from the Dead, a superb mix of new and classic horror in the Pan book tradition. Anyone interested can read my review at Tales From The Black Abyss.

Would love to see a full revival of The Pan Book of Horror Stories. These books were such a huge staple of my reading choice growing up back in the 70s, and were a big influence on my desires to taking up writing horror myself.
